Description: Wendy Walker is a former commercial litigator who has been a stay-at-home mom for the past eleven years. She began writing several years ago and her first novel, Four Wives, was released in February, 2008, by St. Martin's Press. It was also published in the UK and The Netherlands.
Her second novel, Social Lives, was published by St. Martin's Press in September of 2009, and is currently being packaged as a dramatic film by the producers of the Twilight movies.
Wendy recently edited Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power Moms, and is now working on Chicken Soup for the Soul Thanks Mom and Chicken Soup for the Soul Thanks Dad. In addition, she has contributed to Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk Middle School and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk Getting into College.
As an attorney, she worked in private practice both in New York and Connecticut, and served as a pro bono lawyer at the ACLU. While attending law school at Georgetown University, where she graduated magna cum laude, she spent a summer in the Special Prosecutions Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
Wendy obtained her undergraduate degree from Brown University with a double major in economics and political science. Her junior year was spent at the London School of Economics. Upon graduating magna cum laude, she worked as a financial analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.
