CNY Moms in Business May Meeting - Remaining a Successful Woman Entrepreneur After the Coronavirus Pandemic
CNY Moms in Business is a group for 2,000 women living or working in the Syracuse and Central NY area who gather, network and support one another to build lasting relationships and successful businesses.
Founder Jennifer Lewis, a former member of Women TIES, leads this group and asked Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham, to be their monthly speaker on May 19th.
Founder of Women TIES, LLC and author of "Under the Rose-Colored Hat" Book, Tracy will share valuable lessons about stepping or being away from business when unexpected personal or business issues arise. Celebrating her 25th year as a woman entrepreneur and 15th year supporting and uniting women entrepreneurs across New York State, Tracy's wisdom will inspire and educate women as they get back to work after the Coronavirus Pandemic.
For 11 years, Tracy provided bi-weekly business advice in the Syracuse Post Standard in a column called "Asked the Entrepreneurs" and also nationally in syndicated advice column "Ask Amy" (formerly "Dear Abby"). She resides and works out of her home-based office in Baldwinsville, NY.
Please note: If the "stay at home order" is still in effect on this date, the meeting will be conducted via Zoom so sign up and join Jennifer Lewis, Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham, and other women in business.
About the Presenter
Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham has been supporting, uniting, and inspiring women entrepreneurs across New York State for two decades as a leader, advocate, and New York State SBA Women in Business Champion twice.
Known for her fierce belief that women should support women in business, sports, equality, and life issues first and foremost, she lends her voice on these topics as often as she can by speaking, writing, blogging, and podcasting.
Join Women TIES Right to Run Team for 2020! Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham will be running this year in either the 5K or 19K race.
The Right to Run Race celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment! It all started back in Seneca Falls, NY, when Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott held the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention – the first-ever Women's Rights Convention.
To some, the 19K may seem like a random number, but the 19k serves as a powerful reminder of the long, difficult journey women traveled to obtain their right to vote. Crossing the finish line takes dedication, resilience and strength, all qualities shared with the suffragists that fought for women's suffrage.
The race takes place during Convention Days in beautiful Seneca Falls, New York. Convention Days is a three-day event that commemorates the United States' first women's rights convention that was held in Seneca Falls in 1848. On the second day of the convention, 68 women and 32 men signed the Declaration of Sentiments, which was the cornerstone of the women's equality movement. Join us as we celebrate the women before us and venture the road ahead!
Women's Right to Run 19K, Inc.'s purpose is to inspire, empower, mobilize and connect women. The 19K distance is a nod to the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote.
Tracy's favorite non-profit running organization 261Fearless.org will be part of the event too with female runners from around New York State. Find out more about them.
Women interested in running with the Women TIES team should register with us so we have your name for logistics information and shirts but register on the Right to Run website to officially register and get a bib number.
This is the third year of the Seneca Falls Revisited Conference which was hosted in Seneca Falls in 2018, Saratoga Springs in 2019 and now New York City in 2020. Be a part of this amazing event while enjoying New York City this summer.
There is an extensive schedule of events on the event webpage at https://crewomen.org/find-your-center. Come for one day or the entire weekend. Become a sponsor to promote your business. This is the place to be to celebrate the historic centennial of women's suffrage.
Please share the event and invite your sisters to join you.
